About Ashley Williamson
Ashley Williamson, LMSW
Under directed experience and clinical supervision.
Therapy is a space where you can slow down, reflect, and give care to the parts of yourself that need it the most. Beginning this process is an act of self-compassion and a meaningful step toward healing and growth. I specialize in providing a space for those who have experienced trauma, including complex trauma and PTSD, where you can show up as your authentic self, process your experiences at your own pace, and be met with care and unconditional positive
regard.
As a neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I work with individuals of all gender, sexual, and cultural identities. What feels most meaningful and fulfilling to me is providing a space to work with the impact of trauma, support nervous system regulation, deconstruct shame, challenge negative beliefs, reconnect with your emotions, and strengthen self-understanding, identity, and resilience.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, integrative, and holistic with a focus on relational healing and a psychodynamic lens. I draw from a variety of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, and attachment-based practices. We will work together to figure out what you need and what feels best for you.
Whether you are beginning or continuing your therapy journey, I’m glad you’re here. If you’re interested in connecting to see if we would be a good match, please reach out for a free consultation. I would be honored to provide support as an empathetic witness on your journey of learning, growing, and healing.
