About Sara Patel
Sara Patel, Psychotherapy Intern
Under directed experience and clinical supervision
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and you’re not alone. Whether your child is struggling socially or academically, you’re supporting a neurodivergent or medically complex child, or you’re a young adult navigating life after graduation, it’s okay to feel uncertain.
I’m passionate about working with neurodivergent and medically complex children and their families, as well as young adults exploring identity, transitions, and what comes next. Raising and supporting a child—especially one with unique needs—can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to do it alone. Every child deserves to feel valued and celebrated, and every family deserves support.
I bring over a decade of experience in public and private schools and educational consulting, specializing in ADHD, autism, learning differences, acquired brain injury, executive functioning challenges, and twice-exceptional learners. I believe all people have the capacity to grow and thrive with the right support.
My approach is integrative and systemic, creating a space where you and your family feel seen, understood, and supported. With young children, I use creative, play-based therapy; with individuals and families, I tailor evidence-based approaches to fit your needs. Together, we’ll work to better understand challenges, build on strengths, and move forward with greater confidence.
I strive to provide an affirming, inclusive space where all individuals and families feel safe and respected. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.
