About Sara Demlow

Sara Demlow, Psychotherapy Intern, LPMT, MT-BC

Under directed experience and clinical supervision

Do you ever wonder how to best support your child’s unique way of thinking, feeling, or communicating? Are you hoping to find a therapist who truly understands your child’s disability or their siblings’ disability and can celebrate your child for who they are?

I believe every person has something valuable to offer the world and that growth, healing, and change are always possible. Our brains are adaptive, and with the right support, we can build new pathways for connection, regulation, and self-understanding.

I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism, ADHD, and Down Syndrome. I am passionate about making mental health care accessible and inclusive for individuals with disabilities. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected as their full selves. I also love working with caregivers, parents and siblings to help navigate through family dynamics and communication.

I integrate a range of evidence-based modalities, including Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing and I always strive to tailor my approach to meet each client’s individual needs. I often draw from my background in music therapy and am passionate about supporting minds that engage with the world in unique and powerful ways.
