About LeeAnna Strickland
LeeAnna Strickland, Psychotherapy Intern
Under directed experience and clinical supervision
Healing begins when we attend to the whole person, mind and body. Together, we can explore both. I am a psychotherapist intern who works with children, teens, and young adults using a trauma informed, developmentally responsive approach. My work integrates play based interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, ABA informed strategies, somatic experiencing, and yoga informed practices to support emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and nervous system awareness.
I often incorporate art, crafts, bibliotherapy, and mindfulness to help clients explore emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in engaging ways.
I am strength based and solution focused, and I bring experience across a range of clinical settings, including intensive in home services, ABA clinics, inpatient care, and long term residential programs. I believe healing happens through collaboration, creativity, and connection. When working with children and adolescents, I collaborate with caregivers as appropriate to support consistency and skill building outside of sessions.
Whether you or someone you love is navigating a transition, experiencing anxiety, panic, or grief, we can work together to find a steady path forward. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. If this feels aligned for you or your child, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
